Key Learnings (Module 1: Artificial Intelligence and Design Thinking)

Learning in the world of artificial intelligence has been entirely satisfying because I have gradually confronted my fears about how to manage certain types of websites or applications that use AI. At the same time, I’ve been establishing the foundations of my knowledge to create a variety of materials for inclusion in my educational cluster.

This leads me to reflect on the following questions posed by my teacher instructor:
- How will the knowledge gained from this module influence your teaching methods?
-Can you think of a specific lesson or activity where you could apply what you’ve learned?

Indeed, the knowledge I have acquired up to this point has been of great benefit to both my individual and group tasks. It has allowed me to research assigned topics more quickly and access more practical information. I believe it will continue to influence my learning in English language teaching. From now on, I’ll have access to more technological resources if I want to assist a student. Additionally, I’ll be able to create better prompts for the AI to function correctly and design more structured lesson plans with proper presentations in less time. I can confidently say that artificial intelligence has positively impacted the development of my content and has helped me reduce time in creating educational materials.

One way I can apply what I have learned is when I'm giving a personalized class to a small group of people, and I need assistance from different types of AI to design a good lesson plan suitable for the level of the individuals I am teaching. Also, if someone has a problem and requires a suitable solution, I could apply design thinking and rely on AI tools like Copilot or AI apps like Canvas to create a complement that assists the person and design an empathy map and prototype that aligns with his or her reality.
