Introduction (Module 2: Artificial Intelligence to enhance students' English skills)

 Hello dear reader!

    It's a pleasure to have you back here. Please, feel free to read and express your opinion about module 2 "Artificial Intelligence to enhance students' English Skills".


    Without a doubt, each module where I have the opportunity to study artificial intelligence leaves me with a safe learning experience because in the educational field, especially in the area of English language teaching, there are many apps or AIs that I can use to create authentic and high-quality material such as Gamma and Diffit to create accurate presentations in just a few moments; or hugging face comic factory and Suno ai to generate suitable complements such as songs and comics guided by the content of the classes. The opportunities I have had using artificial intelligence have been exceptional and simultaneously somewhat overwhelming or difficult since studying the handling of each app with AI takes time to be able to use it effectively and responsibly. However, with the help of my teacher and classmates, I have been able to understand better the benefits and limitations that AI can bring to the world of teaching.


    Of course, the world of artificial intelligence is changing so constantly with updates that it has allowed me to feed my curiousness and expectations because my learning is focused on my receptive and productive skills. That's why module 2 of the specialization course continues to be immensely useful and helpful, not only for me but also for all my classmates because now they and I have a better approach to how to improve the materials of the lessons and the content in exceptional and entertaining ways.


    Now, I have a precise idea of how I can use certain AIs such as Chat GPT, Copilot, and Gemini, and at the same time AI resources such as Read Along IA, Microsoft Reading Coach, Read Theory, and Talkpal IA, among other resources.


    Indeed, I can say that my expectations have been satisfied because throughout module 2 I also learned how to create bots! Yes, bots! To be honest, I had no idea how to create one. However, with the right guidance; I created a bot as a virtual assistant for an English didactics subject at the University of El Salvador. I feel very proud because the didactic material I added to my bot has been quality books and documents connected to the subject.


    Finally, module 2 has influenced my learning and how I can improve my prompts to consult an AI about any type of information. I also learned how to improve the material of my classes and how I can create a bot to work as an ideal complement for doubts that my future students may have about the classes.
