Learning in module 3 has been a powerful process since I have learned to interact more kindly with the AI and to build a more structured prompt for more authentic results. Similarly, I learned to work more methodically with my team because we, as a team, create personalized materials using artificial intelligence as a basis. Having clarified this, I want to express my opinion by answering the following questions:
- What were the most important concepts you learned during this module?
In this module, I realized how to design a lesson plan with AI, which I think, is a great idea because it holds me time. I also learned that to generate a useful lesson plan, I need to develop a good prompt so that the result is high quality. In other words, I learned that I need a prompt with a good structure and specific steps to be more organized. I use different AIs, for example, chat GPT, Gemini, Magic School, Claude or Brisk AI to create wonderful resources like quizzes, rubrics, or gamma to create presentations; other resources like Kahoot quizzes, quizalize, Educaplay, etc.
That is why, I started working with a team to design a lesson plan that included all the phases required for the different types of high schools. For example, my group #7 worked the "level A1". Well, this level has been a bit different to work with because the teaching model is different since it has 3 phases in general. In my group, we used chat GPT to create a table because in chat GPT we can upload the guide from level A1 and automatically generate a table of contents, so we changed some activities because some of them were repetitive or different to the content to teach.
Finally, I can say that the concepts of "teamwork," "Education with Artificial Intelligence," and "Teaching resources with AI," such as lesson plans, presentations, worksheets, videos, songs, and puzzles, were a success. It only took me a few minutes to create and review the quality of the materials provided, and I learned to generate great resources.
- How did these concepts challenge your previous understanding of English language teaching?
