Key Learnings (Module 3: Creating Effective Lesson Plans with AI and Design Thinking)
When planning a lesson that includes AI and Design Thinking, it's important to combine originality, technology, and strategic planning. Utilizing AI tools like Magic School, Brisk AI, Eduade AI, ChatGPT, Copilot, Gemini, Claude, and Suno AI, as well as platforms with AI such as Canva and Gamma can help create personalized learning materials and interactive activities. I consider it essential to address any concerns about using AI by gradually getting familiar with these tools through hands-on practice and exploration. Once comfortable, integrating these AI applications can help create dynamic and engaging content aligned with educational goals. Design thinking further complements this approach by emphasizing empathy, ideation, and prototyping, ensuring that lessons are not only innovative but also tailored to students' needs.
I want to share my thoughts through the following questions:
- How will the knowledge gained from this module influence your teaching methods?
Module 3 has been very amusing because I have acquired more knowledge about the different technological tools that Artificial Intelligence has now. I have more choices about how to make and customize teaching material in a matter of seconds.
I believe this knowledge will impact my future classes because my tutor has provided me with a helpful guide for effectively implementing various activities to create a well-designed lesson plan. Moving forward, I can produce excellent resources by incorporating quality advice into my teaching materials. Module 3 has significantly influenced my approach to planning by teaching me to structure my activities and utilize artificial intelligence more effectively. I anticipate that AI will continually impact my classroom teaching by making it easier for me to incorporate additional teaching resources.
- Can you think of a specific lesson or activity where you could apply what you've learned?
I've learned about different technological tools that can help me create more creative and precise lesson plans. For example, during module 3, I worked with a team to design a macro lesson plan for high school students. So, I can apply this knowledge to improve my class planning and create better-structured course assignments for more reasonable results.
Hi Karla, I totally agree with your blog, AI and Design Thinking together can lead to more innovative, efficient and user-centric solutions, making them essential tools in problem solving and modern product development, and as you said before, it's important to combine originality, technology, and strategic planning.
